New Blog, New Room

The move to this new blog parallels the move into a "new" sewing room. True, it is still the same sewing room that I've been affectionately calling the Crap Room for 3 years, the former kitchen in my house. But with a custom designed machines table, dedicated cutting/crafting table and additional storage, it's like a new room.

There are still many things on the "to do" list to make the new sewing studio perfect. Most notably the need for bins in the storage unit and a fresh shade of green. If only I could select a shade, While I love green, it's a deceptive color. At night too dark, during the day to yellow or too much like puke. The color I love on one wall I hate on another and so on. Additionally, the floor is still unfinished, a problem I hope to solve with a rug instead. Maybe some nice curtains, another new light fixture, a pad on the old milk painted chair, a dedicated trash can rather than the constantly over flowing plastic bag on the back of said chair.
